To those of you who are not already aware, Mike Taylor reached the difficult decision to stand down from his post as Club Chair after around 25 years of loyal, dedicated service to the club. In fulfilling that role, Mike has certainly steered the club through some challenging times, for which we will be eternally grateful.
We are very fortunate that Vic Malysz has offered to cover the position vacated by Mike. Vic stood in as Acting Vice Chair at the AGM, and once it became clear that Mike would not be returning, he offered to accept the role full time.
In line with the Club's Constitution, the nomination for a person to take on the post of Club Chair has to be put to vote by the club committee. This happened at the last meeting held on 14/11/23 and Vic's offer was unaminously accepted.
Vic takes on this role at a particulary challenging time for the club and we wish him every success in taking on the responsibility.
