We have an exciting social programme for members in the run up to Christmas…
This Friday – a chance to learn about our own UNESCO World Heritage Site with local photographer and squash member, Ashley Franklin. Ashley has published a photographic record of the Derwent Valley Mills, which is stunning. He takes in not only the Valley’s rich industrial past, but also its people, places and wildlife.
This will be a free event – but you may want to take the opportunity to buy copies of his book, which will make a great Christmas present for anyone with an interest in local history or photography – the club will earn £6.50 on every copy sold. Saturday 7th December, 7.30 pm : Little Eaton Kitchen Chorus return with their varied programme of modern and traditional songs and carols. The choir was a huge success last year so don’t miss it!
This event is in support of the Aortic Dissection Trust. Tickets £5 only from Glenn (07713 820581) or from behind the bar.
Friday 13th December, 7.30 pm : Ray Hatfield will sing and play for our annual Christmas gig. Who can resist all those Golden Oldies from the sixties through to the nineties? Of course, the finest ales and wine will also be on offer.
