Changing Room Improvements – Starting w/c 20th October

Dear [[firstname]],

For everyone’s awareness, we’ll be carrying out a light refresh of the changing rooms to improve comfort and appearance as mentioned at the AGM. The work will start w/c 20th October and will be done during off-peak times to avoid disruption.

What’s being done

•      Heating: New thermostatically controlled electric heaters will be fitted under the benches in the ladies’ changing room. This will provide consistent warmth during colder months.

•      Ventilation: The existing ventilation will be cleaned and improved to ensure better airflow and reduce any lingering odours.

•      Paintwork and finishes: The walls around the ladies’ toilet area and cubicles will be freshened up with clean, durable panelling – similar to what was added in the showers previously.

•      Water pressure: Flow tests have confirmed that both the men’s and women’s showers have identical and consistent water pressure.

Power shower requests

Some members have asked about adding power showers in the ladies’ area. After checking, we found this would require new electrical feeds to be installed from the main fuse board to each shower point – a much more extensive and costly job than necessary at this stage. For now, the focus is on delivering practical improvements that provide good value and minimise disruption.

Overall

These updates are designed to give the changing rooms a tidy, more comfortable feel without major works, keeping the club functional while we plan for any future upgrades.
