1] The social committee have decided to postpone the quiz which was to be hosted by John Nicholls on Saturday 21st March.
It will be rescheduled, so keep checking the Social notice board and reading Club emails for the new date
2]Squash Referee Workshop
Derbyshire Squash is pleased to be offering a Referee Workshop in May 2020.
This should be of interest to either new or experienced players, but particularly those who take part in the Derbyshire Leagues, where marking is required.
It is a great opportunity for Adults and Juniors to get a basic level of understanding in Refereeing the game and for those wanting to progress as a Referee, this is a basic requirement.
THE REFEREE WORKSHOP INCLUDES:
INSTRUCTION BY A QUALIFIED ENGLAND SQUASH REFEREE INSTRUCTOR, BASIC KNOWLEDGE & INTERPRETATIONS OF THE RULES, PRACTICAL DECISION MAKING, PREPARATION FOR THE REFEREES EXAM* (NOT MANDATORY) *EXAMS TAKEN BY POST/EMAIL WITHIN 2 MONTHS
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
SOME KNOWLEDGE OF SQUASH AND THE RULES, GOOD EYESIGHT & HEARING (MAY BE CORRECTED)
JUNIORS UNDER 16 MAY ATTEND AND CAN QUALIFY AS A JUNIOR REFEREE
The Course is being run on Sunday 17th May 11:00-15:30 by England Squash at Ashbourne Squash Club.
The cost is £10 for Adults and £3 for Juniors.
