On Monday 12th July, the Government finally announced that most legal restrictions to control COVID-19 will be lifted from 19th July. The Squash Club Committee met on Tuesday 13th July to discuss the re-opening of the Clubhouse, changing rooms and bar. The following was agreed:
The changing rooms and showers will be opened from 8:30am Monday 19th July and the Clubhouse will be closed at 10:00pm each evening.
The bar will be open between 6:00pm and 10:00pm Monday to Saturday, it will remain closed on Sundays.
The bar will operate a cashless system
The squash court bookings will revert to 40 minute or 60 minute sessions from 1st August with no gaps between sessions. Squash courts will remain at half the normal price until 1st September.
Gym sessions will be extended to 1 hour with a maximum occupancy of 4 from 1st August with no gaps between sessions. All equipment will be available for use.
The wearing of face masks inside the building will no longer be mandatory
The QR code will remain available for members to use but is not mandatory
Sanitising materials will continue to be provided in the short term and members are encouraged to use them for wiping down touch points at the end of a session.
Members are requested to be mindful of others who may still feel nervous about the pandemic, but wish to start using the facilities again.
Please do not come to the club if you are feeling unwell.
