Our Annual subscription renewal date is September 1st and due to the well publicised inflationary pressures, in particular energy costs, we have again had to raise our prices.
We are hoping that this will be the last for some time.
We continually look at ways where we can cut costs and have over the last four years cut our electricity consumptions by 60%.
A small proportion of that is due to fewer members now using the club, but the main saving has been the removal of the saunas, controlling the court lights and fitting LED lighting.
We continue though, to reinvest in the club in a prudent way, e.g. new furniture in the lounge and using volunteers to help with redecorating.
One of the ways to keep prices down will be to change the way your subscriptions are paid.
Instead of paying monthly by standing order, we will be adopting a direct debit system using a company called "GoCardless", a system that has been successfully used by the Tennis Club.
This will be run through our MyCourts booking system, which members are familiar with.
Payments will be paid over 8 months each year, starting in September.
You will be getting details shortly on how this will work.
In the meantime if you already pay by Standing Order, will you please CANCEL YOUR INSTRUCTION TO YOUR BANK ON COMPLETION OF YOUR AUGUST PAYMENT.
Subscription Fees for September 1st 2023 - August 31st 2024
1. Full adult £216 annually or 8 payments of £27
2. Off-peak £144 annually or 8 payments of £18
3. Under 23 Squash £72 annually
4. Gym all inclusive £264 annually, 8 payments of £33
5. Gym all inc. U23 £180 annually, 8 payments of £22.5
6. Juniors, no change. £25 for over 10's on Sept 1st 2023
7. Social £35, to bring it more in line with Tennis who charge £38.
8. Joint, £409 in total, Squash share £184 annually, or 8 payments of £23
